Cell C and Vodacom are set to offer the device from R469 per month (on 24 month contracts), with options to “upgrade” the contracts for additional minutes, SMS messages, and/or data.
According to Vodacom and MTN, the Samsung Galaxy S5 supports their Long Term Evolution networks.
As might be expected, the “contract” available from First National Bank (FNB), which is for the device only and no cellular service, comes in the cheapest at R399/month for 24 months.

Vodacom announced last week that it will be the only network in South Africa to offer the “copper gold” colour model of the Galaxy S5 during the first month of its release.
In addition to the standard contract deals, Cell C, MTN, and Vodacom also list packages that include the Galaxy S5 and one of Samsung’s new fitness bands or smart watches.
